Go Ultra High Resolution on Windows Phone With the Latest Tubecast Update

Although MetroTube has been one of my favorite YouTube apps on Windows Phone in the past, recent strides by myTube and the latest update from Tubecast seem to have left it in the proverbial dust.

Version 2.9.8 of the Tubecast app, first spotted by our friends at WC, brings some pretty neat improvements to Tubecast that arguably make it the current best in the YouTube circle on Windows Phone. These updates include QHD Full HD and 60fps support along with a really nice “Windows 10-style” design.

The full changelog of the update consists of:

  • Cast QHD Full HD & 60fps to DLNA devices
  • Preload QHD, Full HD & 60fps videos
  • Channel Menu: New design (Windows 10 style) with smooth animation.
  • Thomson TV & Android TV added to Tubecast list
  • Bug fixes

Download the new and improved Tubecast update via the Windows Phone Store using the QR code above (free basic, with a $1.99 purchase to unlock the full functionality in PRO). Which YouTube app is YOUR favorite on the platform?
