We hate to see games getting pulled from the stores, especially when they haven’t had a very long life, which is exactly the case with one of the two latest games to get the axe.
Pocketgamer.com is reporting that Star Wars: Tiny Death Star and Star Wars Assault Team have been pulled from both Google Play and iTunes, which means you’ll only have a limited amount of time to grab the games from the Windows Phone Store and Windows Store before they’re gone forever.
Disney apparently pulled both games to focus on its new Star Wars Commander free-to-play (F2P) game, which was released last month. Strangely, the developer of both games Nimblebit was never notified of the move prior to the games being pulled.
Ian Marsh, of Tiny Death Star developer Nimblebit, told Pocket Gamer that his “assumption is they don’t feel it is worth it to maintain the game any longer” but that the game was “a significant source of revenue for us, so it stings that much more.”
If you haven’t yet downloaded these games on your Windows Phone or Windows PC or tablet, you’d better do so while you can using the links below.
Are you sad to see these games go?
