OneDrive Base Storage Increases to 30GB With Camera Roll Turned On

For those of you who are using Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage software on your PC, tablet, or Windows Phone, you’ll probably already notice a bit more than a slight bump in your storage space.

That’s because Microsoft has just boosted the Camera Roll bonus to 15GB and you also still retain the recently-boosted base storage of 15GB which gives you a whopping 30GB of total storage to use. You can see this via the screenshot of my own storage account above or by logging into your own account.

If you’re on a 32GB tablet, this should go a long way in helping to conserve that extra space for Windows 8 and 8.1 apps, which unfortunately can’t be installed on OneDrive or external storage at this time. Moving pictures, videos, music, and documents to OneDrive, however, is a perfect way for you to get that extra space so you can download more Windows apps.

Thanks everyone for the tip!
