Microsoft Sends Out Invites to Test Its Pre-Release Office Software

As any developer or fan of cutting edge technology will tell you, beta testing is fun, and Microsoft is giving users who applied for the Office beta testing program to do just that.

The company just started sending invitations this week so that users can test the pre-release office software.

Here’s a bit of background on how the programs will work. After you complete the onboarding steps below, you will be added to our list of available participants. As features and experiences become ready for feedback, we will contact participants meeting the necessary profile with details about that program and extend an invitation to provide feedback. The programs will vary in length from a few weeks to as long as several months.

Pre-release software includes the entire Office suite of products — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Exchange, SharePoint and Project server products and cloud services.
