Nokia finally makes the Lumia 1020 official

A Windows Phone from classic smartphone manufacturer Nokia that comes with a 41 Megapixel camera… We have been hearing about this from the rumour mills for a while, but its now here!

Oversampling is the thing of the moment for Nokia. Not only will the 1020 take 41MP snaps, but it will also save a oversampled 5MP image at the same time.

They also managed to (thanks to some really clever engineers) include some very clever optical image stabilization.

Both of these things even come into use when taking full HD video. They even included a xenon flash which seems to be very very fast, which they demonstrated by comparing a photo with those taken on an Apple iPhone 5 as well as an Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S4.

Ultimately it seems that whatever you point the mega camera of the Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone at, it will be able to take near perfect photos.

I want one ;)
