Lots of Pretty Colours found in Windows Phone 8 SDK

Yes, over in England we spell it “colours”. Stupid language.

The leaked Windows Phone 8 developer tool-kit informed me that my pc doesn’t support hardware virtualization (isn’t that just all fine & dandy ¬_¬) but I thought I would search through the folder containing the Windows Phone 8 emulator anyway, just to see if there was anything interesting in there.

What I found was a folder called “AccentColors”, which as you may know is what they call the bright colours used on Windows Phone devices. What was in this folder you ask? It was full of xaml files. Similar to the html files that define web pages, xaml files define information about Windows Phone & Windows 8 apps (as well as other types of programs). In this case each file contained a different hexadecimal value which indicates a colour.

If you were naughty like I was & installed the leaked WP8 toolkit, you can check out this folder for yourself at this location:

If you think you are too lazy to go install the developer tool-kit & find this folder yourself you’re in luck, as I decided to quickly throw an image together to show you them.

Feast your eyes on the Windows Phone 8 accent colours:

So, what do you think? What colour would you choose first?
