Central News provides Windows smartphones with another way to access their favorite RSS and news feeds all in one central location, and its developer, Freeman Technologies, has just announced that a major update is due out next week that takes the applications feature set to a whole new level.
With a subscription to the premium edition of Central News, dubbed Central News Plus+, users can look forward to ten core and exclusive “features” in the form of new sections being added to the application, including Main news, Business, Technology, Entertainment, Sports, World, Videos, Lifestyle, Health, and Weird News.
As before, outlets will include BBC News, Reuters, CNN, RT and more.
The update is expected to roll out as early as July 30, after the launch of Windows 10. The app will see a universal platform expansion to Windows 10 Mobile, Xbox One and other devices this fall. For instance, Freeman Technologies says there is a second Windows 10 app update planned that will expand the Central News app to Microsoft’s HoloLens in the future.
Finally, there will also be different languages and localized versions of Central News Plus+, with regional apps appearing in countries such as the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as the United States.
For now, you can get Central News in both the free and premium Plus+ editions via the QR codes posted in this article.
