AllTube Player Uni update brings 4K YouTube video quality, Microsoft Edge enhancements, and more

We’ve covered AllTube Player Uni here on 1800Pocket/PC before, but if you haven’t had the chance to use it yet, you’re in for a better experience if you happen to have Windows 10 installed on your device.

That’s because the latest update, version 4.1.0, includes new capabilities exclusive to the Microsoft Edge browser, letting you share media directly. Another notable addition in the new AllTube Player Uni update is the improvements in video quality: HD2160p (aka 4K) is now available in many YouTube videos. The video itself must be 4K compatible for the new quality to be viewed.

There’s still more to love in the new update. The entire AllTube Player Uni version 4.1.0 features and enhancements list follows:

  • YouTube video quality up to hd2160 where available
  • Listen to audio without playing the video (YouTube)
  • Download audio directly from the supported video websites
  • Grab and download media directly from supported websites within Microsoft Edge browser via Share
  • Share downloaded media with other Windows app
  • Thumbnail player allows you to continue playing the media while you navigate to other pages in the app
  • View/play media in channel playlist
  • Improve comment system for YouTube (view top comments or most recent, respond to comment)
  • In-app purchase
  • Other general improvements and fixes

AllTube Player Uni brings all your favorite media sites and services — YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, SoundCloud, and more — together under one roof. The app was designed from the ground up specifically for Windows 10 and sports a clean, modern user interface that allows you to search for and play media easily.  You can sign in to the supported website via the app to like or comment on a piece of media. In addition, you can also view your subscriptions, favorites, and playlists. If you’d like to conserve data, you can download media for offline playback and even create local playlists to organize downloaded media.

It’s worth noting that the normal in-app purchase annual subscription or one time perpetual license cost is $2.99 USD and $4.49 USD, respectively. However, users can purchase the annual subscription for $1.29 and the one-time perpetual license for $1.99  for the next three days only.

What do you think of the new AllTube Player Uni update? Have something you’d like to see in an upcoming version? Let us know in the comments and it just might make it into a future update!
